Thank you!\nJoin us for Women in Leadership: International Women’s Day to hear from Michelle Book and have to opportunity to connect with other women! \nThis event is the first of our four part event series. Events in 2025 have sold out at 100+ attendees. This is the room to be in if you are a women-identifying or women-supporting individual looking to build their network and enhance their leadership opportunities!\n\nAbout the speaker: Michelle Book\n\nMichelle Book born and raised in Iowa, graduated from Jefferson High School in Greene County. She went on to earn a business degree with an emphasis in accounting from Iowa State University. Michelle started her career with Ernst & Young in Des Moines, earning Certified Public Accountant and Certified Internal Audit credentials.\nMichelle Book served as Food Bank of Iowa CEO from 2016 to 2024. Prior to joining Food Bank of Iowa, Michelle worked at MidAmerican Energy and held global business roles with DuPont Pioneer and John Deere Finance. Previously, she was Controller at Triplett Office Essentials and Cass County Memorial Hospital.\nAfter leaving Food Bank of Iowa at the end of 2024, Michelle formed Book Smart Solutions to serve as a fractional CEO helping companies remove barriers to success to reach their full potential. Today she is the CEO for Altus CXO which provides fractional C-Suite level leadership to small and mid-sized businesses across the US.\nMichelle and her golden doodle Charlie live primarily in Des Moines, Iowa with a second home in Grand Marais, Minnesota. She enjoys spending time outdoors, creating in the kitchen and learning by reading.
