Leadership Ames is a program of the Ames Regional Economic Alliance that offers the opportunity for participants to gain experience in civic leadership responsibilities and cultivate relationships with other local leaders and community members.
Co-Chairs for Leadership Ames Class 39 are Beth Lucht with Friendship Ark and Kim Schilling with Bethany Life. Participants in this year’s class will experience twelve day-long sessions designed to develop informed, involved and concerned leaders.
“Leadership Ames is one of our region’s premier programs, and we’re honored to welcome this year’s cohort and connect them with the businesses and industries that drive our community,” says Jan Williams, Vice President of the Ames Regional Economic Alliance. “Building connections and fostering strong relationships remain top priorities for the Ames area, and we’re excited for another dynamic year. This program supports both personal and professional development, offers unique business tours, strengthens networks, and helps shape the next generation of community leaders.”
Classmates will hear presentations on important topics, debate issues, participate in class activities, visit with area leaders, tour facilities and get to know other individuals representing a broad cross-section of the community. Session begins January 8, 2026.
