Leadership Ames is a program of the Ames Regional Economic Alliance that offers the opportunity for participants to gain experience in civic leadership responsibilities and cultivate relationships with other local leaders and community members.

Co-Chairs for Leadership Ames Class XXXVIII are Sarina Flathers with Boys & Girls Clubs of Story County, and Beth Lucht with Friendship Ark. Participants in this year’s class will experience twelve day-long sessions designed to develop informed, involved and concerned leaders.

“Leadership Ames is a flagship program throughout the area, and it’s our pleasure to introduce, engage, and share business and industry experiences to this year’s class,” says Jan Williams, Vice President at the Ames Regional Economic Alliance. “Connecting people to business, and cultivating relationships is an ongoing priority throughout the Ames region and we look forward to another exciting year ahead. This program allows for personal and professional growth, but also highlights business tours and creates new and lasting relationships, while cultivating future leaders in our community.”

Classmates will hear presentations on important topics, debate issues, participate in class activities, visit with area leaders, tour facilities and get to know other individuals representing a broad cross-section of the community. Session begins January 9, 2025.
