At an event held on December 3, the City of Boone, Boone County Chamber of Commerce and Boone County Economic Growth Corporation joined Kading Properties in celebrating the official opening of the Kate’s Landing neighborhood with a ribbon cutting event.
In comments made at the event, Mayor Eli Stines stated, “Today is a proud day for Boone as we celebrate the ribbon cutting of Kading Properties new 128-unit market rate rental housing development. This is an investment not only in housing but in dignity and opportunity. These homes reflect a simple yet powerful truth; every individual and every family deserves a place that feels truly their own. Kate’s Landing will provide affordable, accessible housing for residents of all ages, from young professionals to growing families, to our seniors, helping ensure that Boone remains a place where people can put down roots and thrive.”
The Kate’s Landing housing initiative represents $15 million in new private investment in Boone.
Chace Hauschilt, Development Specialist with Kading Properties, stated, “We wish to thank the City of Boone, the State of Iowa, the Boone County Chamber, and the Boone County Economic Growth Corporation for their unwavering support of Kate’s Landing. We appreciate the responsiveness and professionalism of the City and all those involved in bringing this project to reality in Boone.”
