Thirty31 Partners Acquires Jerry Carney & Sons, Inc.

Thirty31 Partners, a Huxley, Iowa based private equity firm with a focus on private business investments and real estate, has acquired Jerry Carney & Sons, Inc., a family-owned auto parts and recycling business in Ames, Iowa. Founded in 1956, Jerry Carney & Sons is a second generation operation known for its wide selection of new and used auto parts, environmentally friendly vehicle recycling, and strong customer service across the Midwest. The company operates on 45 acres with over 2,500 parts and vehicles in stock in their 50,000 square foot warehouse, serving customers with fast delivery and a commitment to quality.

The acquisition strengthens Thirty31 Partners commitment to supporting well established businesses in essential industries and reinforces their dedication to enhancing its footprint in the blue collar sector while preserving the legacy of family-run operations. Combining Jerry Carney & Sons established operations with Thirty31’s expertise in partnerships and flexible capital, the firm plans to drive long-term growth and new opportunities in the automotive aftermarket and recycling sectors.
