Bio
John Wyffels, President of Wyffels Hybrids, is a 3rd-generation member of the family owned seed business founded in 1946. John joined Wyffels Hybrids as VP of Finance in 2013 and has served as President since 2017. As President, John is proud to lead a passionate team that relentlessly works together to serve corn growers in the pursuit of a more productive and profitable crop. He is particularly focused on stewarding the culture and building a business that lasts for another generation. Among the top 3 seed corn brands in the central corn belt, Wyffels Hybrids is the only one that remains family owned.
John is a founding member of the Wyffels Enterprises Board of Directors and also serves as a member of the Illinois Foundation Seeds, Inc. Board of Directors. John is passionate about studying and advancing multi-generational family businesses.
Before joining Wyffels in 2013, John was a Director for PwC Transaction Services, advising clients on buy-side and sell-side M&A activities. John graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. John, along with his wife Meg, live in Bettendorf, IA with their son (Jack) and daughter (Charlie).
