Ames Chamber of Commerce Welcomes Widlowski and Stewart

Emory Widlowski

The Ames Chamber of Commerce is excited to welcome Emory Widlowski and Caroline Stewart as new additions to their staff.

“I am thrilled to have two brand new graduates of Iowa State University joining our team,” says Dan Culhane, President & CEO of the Ames Chamber of Commerce. “Emory’s event management degree will serve us well in support of our event programming and Caroline will put the skills she learned in achieving her degree in Community & Regional Planning to work right away on the support of our economic development programming.”

“Both are passionate about what we do here at the Ames Chamber of Commerce and the experience they will gather here will serve them well going forward. I look forward to seeing their impact within the organization.”

Widlowski recently graduated from Iowa State University with a degree in Event Management. Widlowski also brings valuable event experience through previous internships at Waveland Golf Course and Center Grove Orchard.

“I am extremely excited to be apart of the Ames Chamber team, everyone has already been so welcoming,” says Widlowski. “I’m really looking forward to working closely with Ames Main Street events and meeting more people who are involved in the community!”

As the new Events Coordinator, Widlowski will assist with Ames Chamber and Ames Main Street events, coordinate ribbon cuttings with members, and contribute to retention efforts.

Widlowski began her position on January 3 and be contacted at emory@ameschamber.com

Stewart is also a recent graduate of Iowa State University with a degree in Community and Regional Planning. After moving to Ames from Nashville to attend Iowa State, Stewart will continue to call Ames her home.

“I am excited to show what I’ve learned in the classroom and apply those skills and abilities in the workplace,” says Stewart. “The Ames Chamber of Commerce and Economic Development Commission is a wonderful opportunity to jumpstart my career in economic development. I can’t wait to work with the community on a more personal level!”

As the new Project Coordinator, Stewart will conduct research for Economic Development projects, support activities related to Community Development and Workforce Solutions, and provide occasional office coverage.
