November 2025 End of Month

As we close out November, I’m reminded that this season naturally brings a sense of gratitude and we have much to be thankful for across the Ames Regional Economic Alliance. We’re in the season of many of our affiliate organizations hosting their annual events, giving us the opportunity to recognize the tremendous work happening in every corner of our region. I’m deeply appreciative of all of our Board of Directors for their steady leadership and of our outstanding team whose dedication makes our collective progress possible.

Looking ahead, we will publish the Ames Regional Economic Alliance Annual Report in early 2026, capturing the full scope of the year that was. In the meantime, we recently produced a five-year snapshot of the Nevada Economic Development Council’s impact. Through strong partnerships with the City of Nevada, local employers, and private investors, the NEDC has helped generate more than $123 million in capital investment, supported the creation of 238 new jobs, and matched city funding with nearly $400,000 in private contributions. Their efforts, from advancing housing and workforce initiatives to securing over $6.7 million in state and external grants, have significantly strengthened Nevada’s economic foundation.

This progress is a powerful reminder of what can happen when communities align around shared goals. The collaboration we see in Nevada is echoed throughout our region, where public and private partners continue to lean in, innovate, and invest in long-term success. Whether it’s supporting entrepreneurship, expanding opportunities for families, or building places where people want to live and work, our collective momentum is something we should all take pride in.

As we move deeper into the holiday season, I encourage you to shop local and support the businesses that make our communities vibrant. Thank you for your continued partnership, and I wish you and your families a warm and joyful start to the holidays.
