The Ames Regional Economic Alliance Welcomes Brian Horn as New Director of Economic Development and Executive Director of Boone County Economic Growth Corporation

The Ames Regional Economic Alliance is excited to welcome Brian Horn to the team as Director of Economic Development and Executive Director of the Boone County Economic Growth Corporation.

“I am thrilled to have Brian join our team,” said Dan Culhane, President and CEO of the Ames Regional Economic Alliance. “The leadership skills he has developed over many years as a school superintendent will serve him well as he supports and provides leadership to a very strong board of directors that make up the Boone County Economic Growth Corporation. I am excited for both Brian and the board, as there will be mutual benefit from day one.”

Prior to joining the Ames Regional Economic Alliance, Horn recently served as Superintendent of the Madrid Community School District for the past 18 years. During his tenure as superintendent, Horn led two successful bond referendum campaign projects, managed significant campus expansions and building renovations, and spearheaded various initiatives to enhance academic programs and student support services.

“I feel incredibly fortunate and grateful to join the Ames Regional Economic Alliance, allowing me to continue serving the residents of Boone County,” said Horn. “As a proud 25-year resident of Madrid and Boone County, I’ve experienced firsthand how remarkable the people are and how much opportunity for growth this region holds.”
