AREA Interns 2026: Kick Off Event & Speed Networking

The AREA Intern Program is a summer series designed to help interns and college students connect with local business leaders while exploring the opportunities the Ames region has to offer. By immersing interns and college students in a variety of professional development experiences, we hope to inspire them to consider staying in the AREA as they begin their careers. Thanks to our Workforce Sponsors, events are free to attend, but registration is required. This program was previously known as “See Yourself In Ames.”

Kick off the summer by meeting fellow interns from across the Ames region! This interactive session will start with learning networking tips from Mollie Frideres-Smith owner of MFS HR Solutions.

Then, put your skills into action during a guided speed networking experience. You’ll rotate through quick conversations designed to help you build confidence and expand your professional network with other interns
