The Ames Regional Economic Alliance is excited to welcome Jenavieve Christensen as its new Economic Development & Workforce Coordinator.
“We are excited to welcome Jenavieve back to the Alliance team,” said Dan Culhane, President and CEO of the Ames Regional Economic Alliance. “During her time as an intern, she demonstrated a strong work ethic, enthusiasm for community development, and a passion for helping our region thrive. We are confident she will be a tremendous asset in this role.”
In this role, Christensen will support key affiliate organizations, assist with workforce programs, and help coordinate economic and community development initiatives throughout the region.
Christensen recently graduated from Iowa State University with a degree in Public Relations and a minor in Event Management. She rejoins the Alliance team after previously serving as the organization’s Workforce Development Intern from May 2025 through August 2025. Christensen has a strong passion for small towns, community engagement and mission-driven work. Her role will allow her to build relationships and support the economic vitality and culture of Central Iowa.
“I am thrilled to be back on Main Street with the Ames Alliance and settling into my role focused on economic, workforce, and community development,” said Christensen. “This organization aligns closely with my values, and I can’t wait to continue building relationships both within our team and throughout our communities.”
Christensen began her position on June 1 and can be reached at jenavieve@amesalliance.com.
