Cybersecurity 101 – Residents & Families

This is the first of many community-wide cybersecurity events focused on helping residents, families, businesses, and organizations stay safe in today’s digital world. Our goal is simple: provide practical information, useful resources, and community connections that help build a safer and more cyber-aware community. This event is in collaboration between PC Matic, Huxley Communications, Huxley Development Corporation, City of Huxley, and the Ames Regional Economic Alliance.

Evening Session: Residents & Families

• Online safety and digital citizenship
• Scam, fraud, and identity theft awareness
• Social media, privacy, and personal information protection
• Helping children and teens navigate technology safely
• Community discussion and Q&A with local experts

Both sessions will be a panel discussion with representatives from the FBI, CISA, ISU, and Ballard Community School District and more.
