Ames, Iowa – The Ames Regional Economic Alliance invites the community to kick off summer in Campustown with live music, a food truck showdown, and neighborly fun. The Ames Summer Series in Campustown will take place on Wednesday, June 18, from 4:00-7:00pm in Campustown Parking Lot Z, located just south of Chamberlain Street between Stanton and Lynn Avenues.
This free, family-friendly event will feature a Food Truck Showdown, where attendees can enjoy food from a variety of local vendors and vote for their favorite. Participating vendors include Ames Superdog, Bellbottom Mobile Café, C’est la Crêpe, Comfort Food, Cook’s Tropical Sno, Fresh Fusion, Jethro’s BBQ, and Nisha Soul Food.
Guests can enjoy live music from Mango Soul, sip on a beverage from Thirsty Pigs Beer Trailer, and take in the summer atmosphere of one of Ames’ most vibrant neighborhoods.
There will also be plenty of family-friendly activities on hand, including games such as Cornhole, 4 Across, and Jenga. Bring the whole family and experience a fun night in Campustown!
