2026 Legislative Reception

Join us for a new collaboration among Iowa’s public university communities – a combined 2026 Legislative Reception.

The Ames Regional Economic Alliance, Greater Iowa City, Inc., and Grow Cedar Valley are hosting a joint reception for legislators to increase awareness of our communities and the important role universities play in our local economies. Come and enjoy food and beverages, thank legislators for their service, and sample treats from each region.

A departure from our traditional Day at the Capitol, this event invites members and partners to connect and engage with elected officials not only from the region the Ames Regional Economic Alliance represents, but from various areas around Iowa. The evening will feature beverages and hors d’oeuvres. Attendees will have numerous opportunities to delve into the Ames Regional Economic Alliance legislative priorities for 2026 and gain insights into ongoing initiatives. Don’t miss this unique occasion to network, learn, and foster meaningful connections in the heart of the legislative action.
