TEEN SCIENCE: ISU INSECT ZOO
AMES, IOWA – Teens are invited to the Ames Public Library on Wednesday, June 12, at 2pm in the Auditorium to check out over 100 species of living arthropods! Knowledgeable Insect Zoo staff will talk about why our multi-legged friends are important for a healthy Earth, how you can help them in your own outdoor spaces, and how you can spread the bug love! There will be opportunities to handle millipedes, beetles, roaches, and more!
Bring in your photos of bugs to be identified or even the bug itself!
Presented in partnership with Ames Public Library and Ames Public Library’s Teen Advisory Group (TAG).
TAG is a group of teen volunteers who meet monthly to plan library events, discuss books, and make new friends. For more information, e-mail eatwell@amespubliclibrary.org or join us at our next meeting.
