Hamilton County has been selected to join Keep Iowa Beautiful’s Hometown Pride program, a volunteer‑driven community development program that turns local ideas into lasting impact. The program will launch this fall in nine participating communities: Blairsburg, Ellsworth, Jewell, Kamrar, Randall, Stanhope, Stratford, Webster City, and Williams.
Each community will work with a Hometown Pride coach to launch a volunteer-driven program that strengthens community pride, develops new local leaders, and completes community improvement projects such as park and trail upgrades, public art, beautification projects, new gathering spaces, and community events.
Through Hometown Pride, more than 100 Iowa communities have completed 2,500 projects, raised over $23 million, and engaged thousands of volunteers to lead change. Hamilton County now joins this growing network of communities who are strengthening hometown pride across Iowa!
